The Avian Group Of Companies began operations in 2006 as Avian Technologies which is firmly established as a leading name in the IT industry in Sri Lanka today. In 2009, the company diversified its interests to include plantations and leisure sectors establishing an identity as the Avian Group. The plantations sector, namely Avian Industries owns and manages several plantations – primarily Cashew, and Avian Leisure Management operates the boutique hotel Avian Breeze. In addition, new business ventures in other sectors are also scheduled to commence in the near future.
